Who or what is the Fremington and District Community Group and what do they do?

Legitimate questions if you have never met us or attended one of our events, so let us explain: -

 

The Group is made up of residents from Fremington, Yelland and Bickington. We are all volunteers and our aims are to engender a community spirit and to bring the community together through affordable and inclusive activities.

 

You may have seen us clearing pavements of vegetation, litter picking, running social events such as music bingo, Christmas light up, summer party on Fremington village green, poppy display and other activities.

 

We raise funds to enhance our communities or local charities, where needed.

 

We have a committee, who meet once a month in a local venue to explore ideas and manage the administration that goes along with our events.

 

We rely on our volunteers group who help support and run our events. There is no time requirement placed on our volunteers, we just ask for them to come along when you can. We're always on the look for volunteers for our committee, so if you enjoy supporting the group, maybe that's something that might appeal?
